Xizi Wang


Xizi Wang is a Biotechnologist with an MRes in Synthetic Biology from University College London (UCL) and a current PhD candidate in Plant Synthetic Biology at the Technical University of Munich. Her expertise spans molecular biology and metabolic engineering, complemented by hands-on experience in high-throughput screening, bioinformatics analysis, and directed evolution techniques. Xizi’s research focuses on engineering alternative carbon fixation for crop improvement, with the goal of boosting biomass production and enhancing crop performance under changing environmental conditions. Outside the lab, Xizi enjoys travelling, cats, and foods.
